I was talking politics the other day with a friend and I made a comment designed to shock her. But after thinking about it, I stand behind it. I realized how much the media onslaught had affected my own thinking. The statement I made was that "Sarah Palin is more intelligent than Barack Obama". There I said it and if you're still reading I'll go through the reasons why I stand behind it.
First, it's important to separate the real person from the media. The real person held real jobs and had real accomplishments. She didn't just agitate. While governor, she did what was right for Alaska, the story about how she pissed off the republicans to do what is right is a little known story that Alaskans know but the lame stream media is not eager to get out. For the record Sarah Palin said "in some parts of Alaska you can see Russia", which is true. Tina Fey while ridiculing Palin said "I can see Russia from my house". The sheepeole couldn't separate facts from fiction. They didn't have any help from the lame stream who would play Tina any chance they got. Anybody that thinks the media is not biased has their head up... well anyhow, all one has to do is look at the treatment Obama got compared to the treatment the other candidates got would put that notion to rest for any thinking person. If you still doubt media bias do some research into Acorn and the coverage of that fiasco.
My first reason for claiming Palin beats Obama is she can follow a sermon. Obama listened to Jeremiah Wright for 20 years and (if you believe him) had no clue what he was saying. It wasn't until Fox news and others played quotes of Wright that Obama disassociated himself from Rev Wright. So we know Obama can't follow someone else's speech, but I will claim that Palin can, because her actions as mayor and governor showed she has integrity. So not only can Palin follow a sermon but she can put it into practice. As anybody knows it takes intelligence to understand something but it takes even more intelligence to know how to apply that understanding.
My second reason is Palin knows how many states are in America, Obama thinks there are 57. This is another example of bias, if McCain or Palin had said they had been to almost all the 57 states, it would have been news for weeks.
Another reason is Palin knows how to pronounce corpsman. Again if a republican had mispronounced corpsman as many times as Obama did, it would have been all over the lame stream for weeks and they would have called for apologies to all the fine corpsman out there that had been besmirched. In case you didn't hear it corpsman is pronounced corman, the p is silent. It was embarrassing.
Palin knows history, she apposes socialism. Socialism is responsible for more deaths than all the religions combined, and it has failed every time it has been attempted. If you doubt Obama is a socialist then look at his background and the background of all his various czars, that should clear up that little delusion. Are you listening Bill?

One thing I'll give Obama credit for is the ability to manipulate the media, Palin might be a little too trusting. So while I think it is better to be honest and forthright, this is a comparison of intelligence so this one goes to Obama. Obama is more intelligent when manipulating the media.
Palin knows the laws she has passed, Obama claimed to have voted against a partial birth abortion law because it didn't follow federal guidelines, when in fact it was written with the federal guideline in mind. Real reporters brought this out, but the lame stream reporter after offering up a softball, and getting his lie, bobbed her head side to side and said ok. I'm pretty sure she was blonde. In case you don't know partial birth abortion is where they cut apart a baby as it is being born, a barbaric practice worthy of the Hittites and Jebusites of Old Testament fame.
So the score after 20 minutes of thinking is:
I gave Palin 3 for protecting babies and Obama -1 for manipulating the media, hey it's my website, I can do what I want.
Oh yeah, Barack smokes, Palin doesn't, that should be worth at least a couple.
Palin was a leader when she was a governor, she did what was right for Alaska even when it went against her party. Obummer couldn't vote his way out of a paper bag, he voted "present" 130 times according to NY Times (hardly a bama basher). A governor has to take responsibility alone but a senator has others to spread the blame around. As he has shone from his "leading from behind" he is no leader, his "leading from behind" is his way of voting "present" as the president. Palin gets 10 for this one. Obama gets -5 for being ambitious and not knowing how this would play out.

So far no contest. There is a reason Obummer won't release his school records, it could disenfranchise all those that think he is the intellectual opposite of Bush. Side note here, remember Bush vs Kerry? Remember how Kerry was portrayed by the "unbiased" media as so much more intelligent than Bush? Remember when Kerry finally released his school records? You probably never heard of it since Bush scored higher then Kerry, that was hushed up, can't have a smart conservative.
Obama is a follower of Keynes economics, that alone is worth a -20, but I don't know what Palin would be so I'll give him a pass on this.
The number one reason and the one no thinking person can argue with is Palin would never had picked Biden for a running mate. Palin +20
I haven't even started on the oil handling mess. 3 days into it the big O rejected help from other countries. It wasn't a crisis then. "You don't want a good crisis to go to waste" even if you have to create it. I wasn't going to get started.
I haven't started on the treatment our allies have received at the hands of this guy. Returning the bust of Churchill, what possible reason could there be for that? Sending the queen an ipod of his speeches, is he that full of himself? A gift of DVD's that only work in America, is he that stupid? If not then to what point and purpose are these actions? He is acting as if he wants Iran and North Korea as allies and Europe as adversaries.
In the desire to be fair and balanced I haven't gone into the inept way the government has been run by the big O and his team, I don't think it's fair to compare apples and oranges. Sarah hasn't been president of the country, but judging by her performance in Alaska, I think she would have done a much better job than Barack.
