How Did We Get Here?

This question is the most important question you can ponder. The answer will profoundly affect your life. It seems there are two choices, chance or design. Chance is represented by evolution, a process of change by blind chance over time. Design can be represented by a number of different entities, the "Universe", Mother Nature, the most common is probably the God of the Bible. Evolution, the universe and mother nature don't require any change in behavior since they have no requirements. The God of the Bible does make demands of us which is where the problem comes in, if we came from His mind then He has every right to demand things of us. But I'm getting ahead of myself.

First we have to look at what we know. We know the universe had a beginning, We know that things that begin have a cause, something changed that made what was not, to become what is. William Lane Craig laid it out as the following;
Major premise: Whatever begins to exist has a cause.
Minor premise: The universe began to exist.
Conclusion: Therefore the universe has a cause.
Now we have to look at what could cause a universe to begin to exist. It can't be the universe since it would have to exist to cause itself which doesn't make sense. It can't be mother nature for the same reason. It has to be something outside of the universe. A supreme being is the logical choice. You might say I'm forgetting about chance, but doesn't something have to exist before chance can play it's part? So if a chance commingling of the quantum field caused the universe to pop into existence, the quantum field would have to exist first, so we're back to a supreme being.

So we can safely infer the universe was created, but the creator could have gone off to golf or whatever supreme beings do after being really busy. We could be a product of evolution which would mean we are not responsible to anybody, since from pond scum we came, and to pond scum we shall return. So we need to determine if we are designed or are products of evolution/blind chance.

The first problem with evolution is the biological law of "life produces life". Non-life has no life so cannot produce what it does not have. Scientist have been trying for centuries to produce life to show that no intelligence is necessary. Hmmm!

When a woman is pregnant we don't ask if they hope to have a human. This is an illustration of the second problem with evolution, the biological law stated as "like produces like", a human will have a human baby, a rat will have little baby rats and so on. We have gender reveal parties but not species reveal parties. Evolution tries to get around this law by first ignoring it, and secondly saying that over vast amount of time it doesn't apply. They state that natural selection (micro evolution) is an example of the process. Natural selection is change within species, which nobody disputes, but to make the jump from micro evolution to macro evolution is unscientific and unwarranted.

Third problem with evolution is the probability of things happening that are necessary for life are astronomical bordering on the miraculous. For example there are 20 some amino acids that need to combine to make the proteins needed for life. Multiple proteins are needed, but the odds the amino acids would combine just to create one protein is beyond miraculous.

Fourth problem with evolution is irreducible complexity, a mouse trap is irreducibly complex, if you remove any component it will not work. The eye is an example, it must have everything in place for it to function. Darwin said it gave him nightmares, they still can't figure out how it could have evolved. Blood is another example, the clotting factor must be perfect, too much and we have strokes, too little and we bleed out. The clotting factor must be perfect from the start or there is no start. These are just a couple of examples among many I could cite.

Fifth problem with evolution is information, DNA is code, or information, to have a code you need a coder. Information doesn't just happen, an intelligence is needed.

When evolution was dreamed up they thought life was simple, if the theory of wishful thinking was brought up now with what we know of the stunning complexity of life there would be hysterical laughter. A single cell is a miniature factory with motors, transportation system, disposal systems, and a control system to tell everything what needs to be done. Evolution exists because the “scientists” are too invested in it to let it go, and they will not allow any intelligence. Evolution is impossible, the only reason it exists is scientism's first principal, “we cannot allow a Divine foot in the door”.

So, how did we get here, it seems to me, looking at what I've stated we were put here by a Creator by design for some purpose. It is in our own best interest to figure out what that purpose is and what our Creator requires of us.
